I miss how completely unadorned with aero that the F1 cars used to be.

I think the aero can look really cool, it is just that the teams don't really care about it. I mean just check out the F2008!

My idea of too much aero was the Benetton B191 high-nose car. I know Tyrell came first in the high-nose game, but the Benetton set the standard.

Even so, I loved the rest of that car. Most of the early 90's F1 cars were simply beautiful, at least the best of the side pod era.

I completely agree with you. The Ferrari 641 is one of the most beautiful cars ever bar none! Although, I think near the end of the 90s was when the cars started to lose some of their appeal. I still love that ear though, a particular favorite is the Benetton B197.

1992 was my first year watching F1. I was 10. People thought I was nuts. As a consequence, though, my favorite car ever was the Williams FW14.

That is pretty much the car I think of when I hear F1. I was only -1 in 1992, so I was not born yet, so I couldn't really watch F1. I wasn't able to watch an F1 race until I was 16 or something. Still played a bunch of games though.
